Low FODMAP Grilled Steak with Chimichurri Recipe

A simple low FODMAP Grilled Steak with Chimichurri marinated in low FODMAP spices, lime, sugar and served with Chimichurri ... perfect for steak lovers on a low FODMAP diet or if you have IBS!

Serves 4

To make our Low FODMAP Grilled Steak wth Chimichurri, you will need the following:



    • 2 pounds bone-in New York strip steak
    • 1 tablespoon canola oil
    • Kosher salt and black pepper


      To make our Low FODMAP Grilled Steak with Chimichurri, follow these steps:

      1. Add parsley to a food processor as well as the mint, low FODMAP sweet orange balsamic vinaigrette dressing, and lime juice. Pulse to combine.
      2. Run the processor as you deliver the low FODMAP olive oil in a steady stream. 
      3. Add the mustard, sugar and low FODMAP chili seasoning. Pulse again. 
      4. Season to taste with salt and black pepper. 
      5. Transfer to a bowl, cover with plastic and refrigerate.
      6. Rinse the steaks and pat dry. 
      7. Season both sides with salt and black pepper. 
      8. Prepare a grill or grill pan for high heat cooking. 
      9. Brush a grill or grill pan with oil. 
      10. Grill (over direct heat) and cook for 5-6 minutes per side for medium-rare, 7-8 minutes for medium and 9-10 minutes for well done. 
      11. Transfer steaks to a platter and leave to rest for 5 minutes. 
      12. Plate and serve with chimichurri.
