Low FODMAP Probiotics: Which One to Choose (2026)
Short answer: None of these formulas use inulin or chicory root, two prebiotic fibers that often cause bloating on a low FODMAP diet. For a simple daily probiotic, start with Advanced Probiotics GI Support ($22.99). Choose the Advanced Probiotic & Prebiotic synbiotic ($45.99) if you want a gut-friendly prebiotic included. Choose the 4-in-1 ($29.89) if you also want digestive enzymes. All are formulated by Onikepe Adegbola, MD, PhD.
| Product | Price | What's inside | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Advanced Probiotics GI Support | $22.99 | 5.75 billion CFU per capsule: Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains plus DE111 (Bacillus subtilis). No inulin, chicory, FOS or lactose-based carriers. | A simple daily probiotic |
| Advanced Probiotic & Prebiotic (synbiotic) | $45.99 | Probiotic strains plus a gut-friendly prebiotic, 2 capsules a day. No inulin or chicory root. | People who want a prebiotic but react to fiber supplements |
| 4-in-1 Enzymes + Prebiotics + Probiotics + Postbiotics | $29.89 | 6 billion CFU Bacillus probiotics (DE111, B. clausii), PreforPro prebiotic, postbiotic and digestive enzymes | One capsule routine for meals and microbiome |
| Herbal Motility Support (15-day course) | $22.99 | Senna and cascara sagrada with aloe and added probiotics. A short-term laxative course, not a daily probiotic. | Short-term help with occasional constipation |
What probiotics cannot do
These are dietary supplements, not medicines. They do not treat, cure or prevent IBS, SIBO or any disease. Give a probiotic about 4 weeks before you judge it. Do not use the herbal laxative course for more than its 15 days without asking your doctor. Constipation that is new, comes with blood or weight loss, or lasts for weeks needs a medical workup.
