Ingredients
Serves 4
To make our Low FODMAP Grilled Steak wth Chimichurri, you will need the following:
Chimichurri
- 1 cup packed parsley
- 3-4 sprigs of fresh mint, leaves removed
- 1 tablespoon low FODMAP sweet orange balsamic vinaigrette dressing
- Juice of 1 lime
- ¼ cup low FODMAP olive oil, plus more if needed
- 1 ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
- ½ teaspoon granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon low FODMAP chili seasoning
- Pinch of kosher salt and black pepper
Steak
- 2 pounds bone-in New York strip steak
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- Kosher salt and black pepper
Directions
To make our Low FODMAP Grilled Steak with Chimichurri, follow these steps:
- Add parsley to a food processor as well as the mint, low FODMAP sweet orange balsamic vinaigrette dressing, and lime juice. Pulse to combine.
- Run the processor as you deliver the low FODMAP olive oil in a steady stream.
- Add the mustard, sugar and low FODMAP chili seasoning. Pulse again.
- Season to taste with salt and black pepper.
- Transfer to a bowl, cover with plastic and refrigerate.
- Rinse the steaks and pat dry.
- Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- Prepare a grill or grill pan for high heat cooking.
- Brush a grill or grill pan with oil.
- Grill (over direct heat) and cook for 5-6 minutes per side for medium-rare, 7-8 minutes for medium and 9-10 minutes for well done.
- Transfer steaks to a platter and leave to rest for 5 minutes.
- Plate and serve with chimichurri.
