Steakhouse Classics: Cheesesteak with Fries

From your meal kit

1 lb Flank Steak
1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 Tbsp Paprika
½ Maui Onion
1 Green Bell Pepper
3 cloves Garlic
6 oz Cream Cheese
1 oz Provolone
1 French Baguette
2 Potatoes
1 Tbsp Parsley

From your pantry

1 Salt And Ground Black Pepper
1 Oil


Cooking Instructions



1. Heat 1 1/2 to 2 inches of oil in a pot over medium heat. Working in batches of two, par cook the potatoes for 2 minutes, then set aside. Increase the heat to high to allow the oil to rise to a higher temperature.



2. Working in two batches again, return potatoes to oil and continue cooking for 2-3 minutes or until the potatoes are crisp and golden brown in color. Set aside and season with salt and pepper. Toss with 1 Tbsp chopped parsley.


3. Place 1 lb flank steak in a medium bowl. Season with 1 tsp cayenne powder, 1 Tbsp paprika, salt and pepper. Heat a large skillet with oil over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for about 5-8 minutes, then remove from pan.



4. Add sliced onions and 1 sliced green bell pepper into the skillet and saute until softened. Season with salt and pepper. Add the steak back into the skillet along with 4 oz. cream cheese, stir to combine.



5. Generously divide the beef onto each baguette and top with 2 slices of provolone cheese and place on a large baking sheet.



6. Broil on high for about 1 minute or until the cheese melts. Serve immediately with fries.
