Details: Frontera thin & crispy tortilla chips are made in a traditional cooking method. We start with 100% Midwest harvested corn from local farmers for superior corn flavor. We do not use any masa flour in our chips. We grind the corn using traditional lava rocks to produce fresh corn masa. From the masa, we bake fresh restaurant-style tortillas at our tortilla plant and allow them to rest over a 24 hour period. This process concentrates the corn flavor and allow some moisture in the tortilla to naturally evaporate. After 24 hours, the tortillas are cut into triangles and transported to the tortilla chip plan for frying. The chips are lightly sprinkled with sea salt and packed in double-walled film to keep the product fresh and ready for dipping in Frontera salsas.
