100% pure and fresh natural ghee. Ghee is clarified butter that has been cooked longer to remove all the moisture, and the milk solids are browned (caramelized) in the fat and then strained out. The milk solids, including lactose and casein, that do remain in butter are removed. This gives a rich nutty taste. Ghee has a long shelf life, both refrigerated and at room temperature. There might be minute amounts of lactose in ghee, but it is unlikely to be enough to have an effect on those who are lactose intolerant. Ghee is low FODMAP.
